LM20: LM20BIM7/NOPB and LM20BIM7X/NOPB - inconsistent mold structure

Backsides of chip as below. 

Do note that we also observed some of the chip mould being rounded edges while some having pointed edges. Is this normal as well?

It is still being looked into, but there was a question about what the underlying concern is.  Is there a reliability or performance issue?  

Also, were these devices purchased through an authorized distributor?
