Hello,

I would like to use the "Overhead people counting demo" for IWR6843AoPEVM on AWR1843AoPEVM.

I wanted to know if I can just change the CLI cfg file alone or do I need to make changes in the software too?

If Software changes are needed,

1. Is there any reference demo similar to people counting for AWR1843AoP ?

2. Is there any document for doing the software changes?

Hi Vignesh,

The "Overhead people counting demo" from IWR6843AoPEVM should also work on AWR1843AoPEVM also without any changes.

Can you try this out and let us know the if you face any issues.

Isn't the antenna geometry different for both the devices?

What changes should I do to the cfg file?

Yes, this will not work as the antenna pattern is different. Let me check with the team if this is possible.

The 3DPC demo allows you to add the antenna configuration via the CLI command in the CFG file. Please see the following documentation for info on this parameter.

There will also be a few other changes in the main function with initialization. I suggest you modify the keep the antenna pattern as is for the 6843 (the angle processing will be wrong but won't introduce any bugs) and debug through the code to catch all the initialization changes (or search for 1843 and see which needs to be changes to 6843). THen once it runs on the device you can modify the antenna pattern.
