IWR6843ISK: Radar echo data has large jitter and obvious glitches

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Hi Team,

I am using IWR6843ISK+DCA1000 for human detection. I tested in an empty room with only one person sitting in a chair on the front of the radar. I used a single TX-RX antenna pair and when I plotted the time domain image of two of the chirps, I found something like this:

It can be seen that the waveform is not very smooth and has very obvious glitches in many places. Could you please tell me what could be the reason for this? Is it because my radar parameter configuration is incorrect, so that the radar echo signal is not collected correctly?

My configuration in MMWaveStudio is as follows:

  • Hello.

These results are normal as this is processed raw data.  If you want to eliminate noise and extraneous data,  you can perform additional processing, including restricting the range of data being viewed, to eliminate noise or extraneous measurements.

    Sincerely,

    Santosh
