Dear TI Engineers,

I need your suggestions on my few questions.

The mmwave Radar device ADC Raw data capture(swra581) says that the TI MATLAB code will generate a single row for each Rx in the matrix. I selected 2 Tx and 1 Rx to collect the data with ADC samples 100 and a single chirp with 1600 frames. I received 1*320000 instead of a 1*160000 matrix.[Refer to the below pics for configuration]. May I know the reason behind it, please?

Hello Deepu,

This is because the data set that you collected is a 2 TX 1 RX matrix. If you had done 1 TX 1 RX you would have had that 160000 matrix.

Thanks for your response. It means each TX sends (ADC Samples * Number of Chirps) per frame which is collected in a number of receivers. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Question:

I collected data with 2TX and 2RX with ADC Samples 100 and the number of chirps loops 1 with 1600 frames. Upon processing the data using TI MATLAB code, I found the zeros after each sample in the row. May I know the reason, please?
I believe samples should be in each column of a row. Please suggest a way to fix it.

Hello,

Yes your initial statement is correct. The form of the data can be seen in the DCA1000 User Guide in the Radar Toolbox for mmWave Sensors. It is in the final section labeled "7. Interpreting Data"

There might be something wrong with your configuration that you are getting 0s. Can you show me your chirp settings?
