IWR1843: Failed to run DCAN Tx/Rx test

Hello Champs,

HW: IWR1843boost

SW: mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04\packages\ti\drivers\can\test\main.c

Customer failed to run the mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04\packages\ti\drivers\can\test\main.c demo "4. DCAN Tx/Rx test”, it stuck in CAN_transmitData function. There is no signal on CAN pins.

Have you ensured that the switch on the EVM has been configured properly to enable the CAN output to the pins?

Yes, customer has set the S2 switch to enable the CAN output to the pins.

Thanks.

The issue has been resolved.

Customer is connecting the CAN pin to CANFD which causes the DCAN can't be used in hardware.

Then he is using CLASSIC mode which is compatible to CANFD, the CAN can transmit data now.
