AWR2243: How to decide Rx Gain and RF_Target_Gain

Part Number: AWR2243

Hi Experts

When we set the Rx gain,  RF_Target_Gain also needed to be considered.

"RX gain is achieved as a sum of RF gain and IF amplifiers gain, Recommended value for AWR2243 is 36dB ", The RF Gain Target allows the user to control the RF gain independently from the total RX gain, thus giving flexibility to the user to trade-off linearity vs. noise figure

My questions are as follows:

1. Should we always set  RF_Target_Gain as 36dB for AWR2243, unless some saturation behavior is observed?

2. Will different RF_Target_Gain affects the noise figure?  in my understanding noise figure is decided by Rx Gain as the datasheet shows.

Thanks

Ken
