AWR6843: How to produce an AWR6843 image via UniFlash(SDF readback) to support pre-program image onto external flash before PCB assembly?

Hi,

In order to prepare the manufacture/pre-program image onto external flash before PCB assembly. We need to readback the image data from the SDF via UniFlash. Could you help to check how to achieve it? Thanks.

Note that we have our own custom SBL, so the target is to have the pre-program image with the combination of custom SBL + our application code.

Is the request to read back the entire flash content to verify the image? Please let me know. Will check internally and get back to you. Also is there any standard recommendations from the SFLASH vendor for this operation?

Hi,

Yes, the request is to read back the entire flash content, and it is not only for verification but also for the burning/programming room to pre-program the image onto external flash before PCB assembly. The SFLASH vendor is Macronix® as mentioned in TI SWRA627. (MXIC QSPI flash, MX25V1635FZNQ) and we are in parallel checking if there are any standard recommendations. Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the response! Typically the vendor will provide a way for programming multiple devices with the same image. You may need to connect with vendor to get more details for the same.

Thanks but the question here is not how to program multiple devices, the question is how to use TI UniFlash to read the entire flash of SDF back, could you help to check if UniFlash or another way i.e. TI CCS can support it? Thanks.
