IWR6843ISK: 3D People Counting demo - not detecting people walking away

Part Number: IWR6843ISK

Hello,

We are trying to reproduce the people counting lab.

We have used the chirp configs provided in the sdk - "ISK_6m_default.cfg", "ISK_14m_extended.cfg" and discovered that when people are walking away from the radar they are not identified as a track.
For example, if the person enters the scene from behind the sensor, he is not identified as a valid track. We can see a set of points corresponding to the person, but he never becomes a track.
Conversly, when the person is walking towards the radar, he is tracked immediately. Also, if the person was previously identified as a track, he can walk away from the sensor and still be tracked. So it's an issue only when acquiring the track initially.

I this behavior expected? I'm assuming not. What could be causing such behavior and how can we resolve it?

Thanks,
Yotam.
