PGA970: PGA970 primary waveform accuracy

Good morning,

i'm experimenting with PGA970 device and i have a question related to the accuracy of the excitation waveform.

From the datasheet i was not be able to determine the % accuracy in terms of frequency and amplitude.

Could you kindly provide me with these data?

Hi Alex,

Amplitude accuracy is limited (and dominated) by DAC resolution of 14 bits.

20kHz is the max frequency and all of the internal oscillator and sampling rate variation turns out to be negligible in comparison to that number.

For my task i provide a 3kHz primary waveform.

Which tolerance (in terms of % frequency) is achievable for this kind of application (3kHz)?

Hi Alex,

To account for temperature drift on the internal oscillator, it will be -3% to +7% as your absolute worst error. As mentioned above, you will find the typical value should be negligible, i.e. <1ppm.
