AWR1642BOOST: modify signal processing algorithm

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, DCA1000EVM

Hi team,

My customer needs assistance.

I am using 'awr1642 boost mmwave radar'.
And i want to modify signal processing algorithm of ADAS srr demo visualizer.
I mean I want to change signal processing matlab code. ex)CIFAR, MTI, MATCHED FILTER,,,,else,,,
Please ask me what kind of matlab code i need to change
Thank you.

  • Hi,

In the SRR demo, the matlab code is only used for the gui that displays the detected points.

All processing is performed on the EVM not in matlab gui.

So, it will not be possible to modify the signal processing algorithm by modifying the matlab gui.

    thank you

    Cesar

  • Hi Cesar,

    Customer responded as below:

Then, how can i modify evm algoritmn?
    I have dca1000evm too
Which thing i need to change to modify signal processing algorithm

    Thank you for your help

  • Hi,

Modifying an algorithm implementation is not a simple task.

Since you have a DCA1000, it is also possible to collect raw data and develop your custom algorithm in matlab to process the raw data.

I assume you are interested in the srr demo.

First one needs to understand the implementation.

I assume you are interested in the srr demo provided in the Automotive Toolbox

    mmwave_automotive_toolbox_3_6_0\labs\lab0002_short_range_radar

The srr demo algorithm is implemented in the DSP.

    Here is the source code:

    labs\lab0002_short_range_radar\src\dss\dss_data_path.c.

    Thank you

    Cesar
