Hi Alberto,
Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.
The LM35C and LM35D have different recommended operating temperatures, specified in Section 6.3 of the datasheet. LM35C can operate between -40 to 110 °C while LM35D can operate between 0 and 100 °C.
Additionally, LM35C and LM35D have different accuracy specifications. This is detailed in Section 6.7 of the datasheet and highlighted in Figure 9.
Best regards,
Nicole
Thank you Nicole.
I have a followup question regarding packaging: for the TO-92nthere are two possible lead configurations.
What is the "selector" in the part number between the two lead form types?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Alberto
Hi Alberto,
LM35CZ and LM35DZ are both TO-92 packages, designated by the Z in the orderable name. Both devices have the same lead configuration. The different package designators are detailed on page 3 of the datasheet and correspond to the package type listed on the Ordering & Quality section of the product page. Packaging information is also on Addendum-Page 1 of the device datasheet.
The TO-CAN package is designated with an H and the SOIC package is designated with an M. Devices in the TO-220 package have a T in the orderable name.
Best regards,
Nicole
Hi Nicole,
thanks for the response. My question regarding the TO-92 package it that is seems to come in two different lead forms (see below):
is there a way to distinguish between those two?
Thanks again!
Best regards,
Alberto
Hi Alberto,
Sorry for the misunderstanding. The straight lead package is only available in the bulk pack option. This is denoted with /NOPB at the end of the product name. All other /LFT packaging options will have formed leads.
For more details regarding TO-92 packaging please refer to the following TO-92 Packing Options / Ordering Instructions.
Best regards,
Nicole
