Hi,

In the document "TI mmWave Labs Vital Signs Measurement", its mentionned this hardware requirement "A lens/Concentrator" to direct the radar waves towards the chest.

What means? Could you please provide me any suggestion?

Hi Nabil,

This is referring to a radar lens. This is a lens meant to focus the radar waves and it has to be built specifically for the 77GHz radar waves for this device. TI does not sell radar lenses and we cannot give advice here.

The radar performances could be degraded without this lens?

Hi Nabil,

It is usually a 3D printed plastic lens that can be placed in front of the radar antennas. Radar for vital signs works without a lens, it will just be better performance with a lens.
