I'm looking for the possibility to generate a trigger signal whenever the AWR1642 starts to send a frame. The exact timing doesn't matter. I can adjust to any possible skew. But I'm wondering whether the SYNC_OUT signal could be used for this purpose.
On the AWR1642BOOT evaluation the SYNC_OUT pin of the AWR1642 is fed to pin 16 of connector J6 via resistor R108. The resistor is not loaded, but that's of course an easy fix to add one.
However, I haven't found any description of the exact operation of this pin (e.g., can it be used as such a trigger signal), nor what I have to do, to enable this pin. There seems to be some setup register, which allows to control the mode of this pin. But I haven't found any description or address. And if there is such a control register, can I access this through the RegOp tab in the mmWave studio?
In general, if I could enable this output from the mmWave studio, this would be the quickest way to get me started.
