AWR2243: Calibration CR requirement

Part Number: AWR2243

Hi,

According to the TI documentation for 4chip AWR2243 MIMO cascade radar, there is a requirement for calibration to be done with a CR of 1-2 square meters RCS at 5m distance and beyond.

May I know if the 1-2square meters RCS requirement is important? Can I just use a 20cm trihedral that will yield RCS of ~450 square meters at the frequency I am transmitting? Or is the sensitivity something important that's why need such a small CR (~5cm)?

Thanks for the help!
