Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243
Hi team,
Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:
Testing with AWR2243 boost, each chip's noise figure is read at 77GHz/78GHz/79GHz/80GHz/81GHz via the monitoring item AWR_monitor_RX_noise_trigger_report_AE_SB mentioned in the mmWave-Radar-Interface-Control doc.
The noise figure varies considerably with identical wave configurations. The noise figure fluctuates between 15 dB and 20 dB at 79 GHz, while at 80 GHz the noise figure is approximately 14 dB. There are also some differences between different chips, with chip 4 (slave 3) being the most stable and chip 1 (master) having the most fluctuation.
The noise figure expected to be stable at 12dB or 15dB, but currently fluctuates around 10dB at some frequency points, causing instability in detection.
The parameters of the waveform are as follows:
profileId=0; pfVcoSelect=2; startFreqConst=1472666737;//79G idleTimeConst=200;//2000ns adcStartTimeConst=279;//2790ns rampEndTime=6000;//60000ns txOutPowerBackoffCode=0;//Transmit power is attenuated by 0dB txPhaseShifter=0;//The phase shifter configuration is 0 degrees freqSlopeConst=28;//1351.812kHZ/us txStartTime=0;//0ns numAdcSamples=512;//512 digOutSampleRate=9230;//9230ksps hpfCornerFreq1=0; hpfCornerFreq2=0; rxGain=48;//48db
In actual use, it was also found that the 80GHz detection range was indeed much longer than the 79GHz's.
The customer would like to know how to fix this issue? Could you help check this case? Thanks.
Best Regards,
Cherry
