AWR2944: MSS_UARTB_RX failed

Hi Team,

Have you tried using UARTB? In the uart_echo_callback routine, I changed the serial port setting to uartb through example.syscfg as shown in the picture below. It can be exported normally, but the imported data cannot be received.

Similar problems occurred before when I was using 1642 or 1843, the specifications indicate that UARTB RX is available, but in fact it is not workable. I would like to know if the same problem occurs with 2944.

Could you let me know which syscfg version you are using and what is the SDK version as well?

Hello Saswat,

The SDK is mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_02_00_02 and the syscfg is 1.10.0.

Could you please switch to Mmwave SDK 4.3.0.1 which has the syscfg 1.13.0?

I tried using Mmwave SDK 4.3.0.1 and syscfg 1.13.0. The result was the same. The configuration was as shown in the picture below.

Hello Katherine,

The UARTB_RX is not working on the EVM because if you do take a look at the schematic of the EVM, you will notice that the UARTB_TX is only brought out on the EVM, and the RX pin is not brought out. If you want to utilize it, you will have to bring out the Pin and adjust your pin mux configurations accordingly.
