Good Day.

I am writing to inquire about selecting and installing capacitive humidity sensors for my application. I am interested in a high-precision sensor with a minimal pressure drop that can be used to measure humidity levels inside a 1/2-inch tube at pressures ranging from 0 to 100 psi.

I have reviewed the information available on your website regarding your capacitive humidity sensors, and I believe that your products may meet my requirements. However, I have some questions and would appreciate your guidance on the following:

Which of your capacitive humidity sensors would be best suited for my application?
Can you provide guidance on how to install the sensor in a 1/2-inch tube to ensure accurate and reliable measurements at pressures up to 100 psi?
What is the maximum pressure drop that the sensor can tolerate?
Are there any specific considerations I should keep in mind when selecting a sensor for use in a tube at pressures up to?

    Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.

    The HDC302x portfolio is our newest and most accurate family of humidity sensors. You can find more information on these devices in the HDC3 Silicon User's Guide

    If possible, can you provide more details on the goal of the humidity measurements? This will help us understand if the purpose is to measure the amount of water in the system or humidity being introduced.

    In terms of pressure tolerance, several HDC2080 devices were tested to ~100psi in our lab using compressed dry air in a small vessel and it did not break the devices. The devices reported almost 0%RH when they were placed in that condition. Pressurized air will have a much lower humidity reading, making it more difficult to determine moisture levels in the tube.
