HDC3021: HDC3021

Part Number: HDC3021

Hi all, we would like to use your sensor HDC3021DEHR, but i've read this information on datasheet Storage and Handling Guidelines:

"

Do not store the humidity sensors within anti-static polyethylene bags or packing materials (pink foam/wrap), as
these materials emit gases that can affect the sensor. TI recommends metallized, anti-static sealable bags for
storage. Do not use adhesives or tape inside the storage container as outgassing can degrade the polymer as
well.

"

I've searched these bags metallized on digikey like this product number: https://www.digikey.it/it/products/detail/scs/3001515-5/6044406

but on the datasheet I see that there is a layer with STATIC DISSIPATIVE POLYETHYLENE:

or this product number: https://www.digikey.it/it/products/detail/desco/13615/299793

so, I ask you if these types are good or not?

and, which bags could you suggest us?

Thanks for all.

Best regards.

  • Hi Pierpaolo,

Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.

This guideline is referring to static dissipative bags that are made entirely out of anti-static polyethylene. The product you found is suitable for HDC30x storage since it is a sealable static shielding bag.

    Best regards,

    Nicole
