AWR2944EVM: Data port wont connect to the mmwave visualizer

Hi,

I've followed all the instructions up to CCS Launch, Load and Run and it returned 'hello world' in the console window I then tried to move across and connect the AWR2944EVM to the mmwave visualizer and i cant get the two ports to connect.

I am only able to get the first port to connect after running the hello world program I used in the CCS Launch, Load and Run, but i havent found a way to force the visualizer to connect.

(CFG PORT-COM3, DATA PORT-COM4)

if you could suggest any help it would be a big help.

Hi,

Usually the second port connect when sending the config to the sensor.

I recommend selecting "PLOT", " LOAD CONFIG FROM FILE" and loading one of the provided configs

Ive tried this several times and it still says connecting. Just incase Im being stupid, what is the file type needed for config?

Hi,

You can try for example:

C:\ti\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_03_00_01\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_03_00_01\ti\demo\awr294x\mmw\profiles\tdm_awr2944\profile_3d_2Azim_1ElevTx.cfg

Hi,

I assume that you are trying first to run the demo without CCS.

I assume that you have flashed the demo after using CCS since using CCS requires a different binary.

Hi,

I flashed the python commands

python uart_uniflash.py -p COM<x> --cfg=sbl_prebuilt/awr294x-evm/default_sbl_null.cfg

and

python uart_uniflash.py -p COM<x> --cfg=sbl_prebuilt/awr294x-evm/default_sbl_null_no_appimage.cfg

with my respective port number (COM3).

is this not compatible with the mmwave visualizer?
