AWR1843BOOST: Running C code on AWR1843BOOST

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

I developed a sample code to interface with the AWR1843BOOST using the TI mmWave SDK to detect objects within a certain range and send a message to the Raspberry Pi indicating whether the object is detected or not.

However I do not know where to run the C code on the AWR1843BOOST, I tried running my C code on the mmWave Demo Visualizer however it's a GUI and could not figure out where to run code, please advice

To run C code on the radar do I have to install the mmWave SDK on my computer ?

  • Hello Adil,

Yes, you will have to download the mmWave SDK and read through the user guide for more information on how to get started.
Once downloaded you can access the user guide from: C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_06_00_00-LTS\docs\mmwave_sdk_user_guide.pdf

  • Hello Saswat,

Thanks for getting back to me. Can you shed light on how I should go about running the C code after installing the mmwave SDK on my laptop from https://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVE-SDK. The part that is confusing me is after connecting the AWR1843BOOST to a computer how do I launch the mmWave SDK demo application on my computer? Also in the mmWave SDK demo application how can I select AWR1843BOOST as the device to connect to ? Lastly, how can  I load the C code onto the AWR1843BOOST using the mmWave SDK demo application to run the C code on the AWR1843BOOST using the mmWave SDK demo application ? Can you provide detailed steps? It will be appreciated if you can share a video as I think this will be beneficial to all people who purchase this equipment and run C code.

    Regards,

    Adil
