AWR2243: Feasibilty of AWR2243 for Perimeter Survellience Applications

Hi,

Can the AWR2243 Cascaded Radar based on TIDEP01012 be used for perimeter surveillance to detect people at 300m? Or else, Kindly suggest the suitable sensor

    Hi Gagandip,

    The 4 Chip cascade AWR2243 is capable of detecting cars at 300m due to its much larger RCS when compared to that of humans. People can be detected up to a range of 150m.

    We do not have any reference design or a chip that is directly capable of your use case. You would have to come up with your own design by cascading many such front end (AWR2243) sensors.
