TMP275: TMP275: Is it posible to use ALERT output to indicate LED?

Part Number: TMP275

Hello TI Team,

We am planning to use TMP275 for temperature sensor and indicate the overheat in my PCB Board.

As we understood ALERT pin can be used as below,

We will set the THIGH =40Deg and TLOW =38Deg.

When the temperature cross THIGH the ALERT pin will activated and output will be low…

My temperature will goes up to 55Deg and same way ALERT pin will be Low

Same way again the temperature will comes return to TLOW the ALERT pin will be low until it cross..

Once my temperature is 37Deg  ALERT pin will be high(Pull-Up is used).

If this will work we will use Inverter IC(Open Drain) to switch my LED.

Please review and suggest.

Thanks,

Venugopal  B
