IWR6843ISK: There is a problem running the demo.

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Set to Flashing mode...

S1.1 : On

S1.2 : Off

S1.3 : On

S1.4 : On

S1.5 : Off

The binary(xwr64xx_mmw_demo.bin) was injected into the IWR6843ISK using UniFlash.

I also checked the message that it was successful.

I am trying to demo using the MMWAVE-DEMO-VISUALIZER-CLOUD tool(v3.6.0).

I also tried swapping COM ports.

However, the device cannot be connected, so it cannot proceed further.

Is there something wrong with the setting?

Additionally, I am curious about the difference between Flashing mode and Functional mode.

  • Hello,

    xwr64xx_mmw_demo.bin

Please try to find the binary "out_of_box_6843_isk.bin" located in the radar toolbox. You Have a 6843ISK, so the xwr64xx binary will not work.

    Located here [radar_toolbox_installed_dir]\source\ti\examples\Out_Of_Box_Demo\prebuilt_binaries\out_of_box_6843_isk.bin

Flashing mode allows us to load a program into the device's memory. Functional mode then executes that program in memory.

For more information, view the Out of the Box User's Guide.

    Regards,
    Luke
