DRV5055: Pulsed power supply to reduce power consumption

We are looking into using the DRV5055 analog Hall sensor for a position sensing application in a battery-powered device. To reduce the power consumption of the sensor, I am powering on the sensor at each sampling period and the off again immediately after collecting a measurement. I have found that with allowing a 200us power-on time before collecting each measurement, the sensor performance is not significantly impacted. My question is:

1) At a sampling frequency of 10 to 100 Hz, does the constant powering-on and powering-off risk damaging the sensor?

2) Does TI sell any analog-output Hall sensors (not latch Hall sensors like the DRV5032) with a hardware sleep pin?

    Thanks for reaching out on E2E.  The main concern with the method you describe is allowing time for startup to let the device re-initialize and start capturing data, and it looks like you have accounted for that.  

    As long as the device is not exposed to conditions outside of the absolute maximum ratings, such as over voltage events, then it should be able to tolerate this operation.

    We do have a new linear output device (TMAG6181-Q1) which offers a sleep pin.  This device is an AMR based sensor with an integrated Hall sensor.  The output format is differential sine and cosine and is implemented with AGC to automatically maintain output voltage amplitudes.  The device is meant for measuring angle of a rotating magnet, and I understand this may not specifically match your application need.
