Hi Experts,

Our customer would like to ask if he can use TDC 1000C or any other Ultrasonic AFE only on the receiver side and to amplify the signal indefinitely?

He also mentioned "in the datasheet its said that their is a timer register is there can i disable it . I need to use the AFE in the receiver side independently. can i achieve that in any way"

Please advise. Thank you.

    Hello Gerald,

    Thanks for posting to the sensing forum. The TDC1000 would not be the ideal device for this type of application but my recommendation would be to use the TUSS4470 or the TUS4440. These devices have AFE receivers that are active at all times.

    If they do not need to use them to transmit any signals then they can always depopulate the parts of the circuit used to drive a transducers. These devices are essentially the same if they dont plan to use the TX circuitry.

    The timer on the TDC1000 cannot be disabled unfortunately. Let me know if there are any other questions on this!
