IWR6843AOPEVM: Uniflash not outputting anything

I am trying to flash the xwr64xxAOP_mmw_demo.bin image, with the correct COM Port, and with the radar on Flashing Mode ON but when I click on Load Image the window for 'Load Program' opens and after around 5 seconds just closes.

The console underneath outputs nothing at all, no error messages or anything, just blank. Is there any idea what might be causing this mistake, none of the .bin files I have previously used are working either.

Hi Nicolas,

First, I sincerely apologize for the delay. I had an account issue after an email change.

If you are using a IWR6843, the xWR84xx will not work. Make sure you are flashing the correct image for your device.

No worries about the delay :), somehow leaving the radar without using it for a week and then coming back to it made it work.

I have been using xwr64xxAOP_mmw_demo.bin this whole time for the IWR6843AOP, is there some other image I should be using? I cant seem to find a xwr68AOP_mmw.bin anywhere.

What application are you trying to run? Where is that binary coming from? What version of the SDK and/or version of the Radar Toolbox are you using?

Im just running the out of box demo, the version on Ti's website (cloud). Toolbox ver. 4.12.1 and sdk ver. 3.06, the binary I am using comes from sdk/packages/ti/demo/xwr64xx/mmw

Hi Nicholas,

if you are trying to run the out of the box demo, please, try to flash with the binary included within the Toolbox rather than the SDK. This binary is within [Industrial_Toolbox_install_dir]/labs/Out_Of_Box_Demo/prebuilt_binaries.

Ensure you are following the Out of the Box User's guide exactly. Lastly, if you are having the issue with using Uniflash in the cloud, please try installing Uniflash onto your PC, then trying the process again.

When you plug the radar device into your PC, what are the COM port names?
