Hi Champ,
In Iwr6843, especially for 3d people counting, we know that antenna phase rotation information is really important in order to get the right steering vector (via cli command of antPhaseRot ).
My question is, do Iwrl6432 has application that needs the information of antenna phase rotation? And if I want to design my own Iwrl6432 antenna, can I have antenna orientation that differ from TI own design?
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Wolfgang
Hi Wolfgang,
The Phase orientation has to do with the fact that the receive antennas are fed from the top/bottom on the IWR6843ISK-ODS design. On the IWRL6432, all the receive antennas are fed from the bottom, so this should not have to be accounted for.
If you designed your own antenna pattern whose antennas were not fed from the same direction, you'd need to account for this in your software similar to the way the IWR6843ISK-ODS does.
Best,
Nate
