PGA900: Sensors forum

Part Number: PGA900

I'm going to design one product which the work life-time should be more than 25years without any maintenance.

But the spec of the PGA900 said the retention of the EEPROM is about 10 years. For a industry product, the 10-year retention time maybe a concern.

Do we have any more accurate time for this? Could it work with long time? (-10'C < temperature < 50'C)

Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no way we can guarantee that kind of specification with what characterization data we have. We would essentially have to extrapolate this kind of behavior from the temperature extremes with not enough data points in between get you an answer. After that, we would still say we wouldn't have the confidence to add it into the datasheet and it will not be added to the datasheet. As a result, you'll have the take the 10 year limit under the test conditions outlined in the datasheet.

I'm sorry couldn't give you a better answer as we'd love to have you use the device in your system. But, we need to be realistic as well.
