HDC3021: Powered at -55C

Hi Team,

The datasheet specifies the device abs Junction temperature is -55C~ 150C and the recommended operating is -40C ~ 125C. I would like to confirm if it is safe to power the device at -55C but not actually operate it (ie. no I2C activity)?

Hi Marvin,

Powering the device at -55C should not cause permanent device damage, however we cannot guarantee device functionality outside of the Recommended Operating Conditions. If the device is exposed to conditions outside the Recommended Operating Conditions but within the Absolute Maximum Ratings, it may affect reliability, functionality, performance, and shorten the device lifetime.
