AWR2243: Is there any way to know the external interference during RF init (boot calibration)?

Part Number: AWR2243

Hi,

Is there any way to know the external interference during RF init (boot calibration)?

In app note "Self-Calibration in TI’s mmWave Radar Devices", I found below info. But customer still wants to know if there is any way to let mmwave device to know there is interference during RFinit (boot calibration). Would you pls help?

Avoid any interference caused corruption by performing these only at the customer factory in an interference-free environment, and use the device calibration data save and restore APIs to inject that information back to the device in the interference-prone infield operation.

Thanks,

Chris

  • Hello Chris,

Not every calibration is affected by external interference. Only the Rx Gain Phase, Tx Power, gain and IQMM phase is affected by interference.
For the same reason we recommend using the factory calibration in any case.
