TMP139: tmp139 compatible linux dirver

Part Number: TMP139

We are using tmp139 I3C temperature sensors on board.

We couldn't find unstreamed Linux diver for this device.

Can you pls let us know which linux driver is compatible?

We tried by adding jc42 driver support but no luck.

Can you help us in this regard?

Hello AppaRao,

I am not aware of a Linux driver available for the TMP139. Generic I3C drivers are available though which can be used to communicate with TMP139. I found some I3C documentation from the linux kernel below.

Thanks for you reply.

The above documentation specifies more on m3c master controllers.

tmp139 can act as a pure i2c slave device. In that case it needs to attach to master diver. jc42 is a common driver for JEDEC compliance devices.

I am not sure about the compatible driver for tmp139.

Sorry for the delay.

JC42 is intended for older DDR revisions where a standalone temp sensor was not defined. DDR5 is defined for use with a standalone temp sensor including the TMP139. We have not seen a public release from Intel yet on the DDR5 + TMP139 design.
