That device initialization is wrt full system (PCB) on which AWR294x will be soldered. On that Power, clock and control connections (CANFD/Ethernet/QSPI/I2C/SPI) etc. should be available to AWR294x device while it is booting up and ROM bootloader (RBL) has its per-requisite for its successful bootup.
All the connection which is later used for controlling device functionality: QSPI for sFlash connection, CANFD/Ethernet for SBL or application data communication, I2C/SPI for PMIC control.
