AWRL6432: How to control or configure the TX active and phase

Part Number: AWRL6432
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR6843, AWRL1432

Hi

AWR6843 can use ProfileCfg to configure each TX's phase and TX Backoff seperately and use ChirpCfg to configure which and how many TX active for each chirp.

AWRL1432 only support two TX phase ( 0 and 180 degree ), the SDK provide the BPM that can have two chirp with TX1, TX2 with (+,+) and (+,-) by setting chirpTxMimoPatSel . But I would like to know is there any method or API that can similar to AWR6843 that can manual set the chirping with TX1 ,TX2 with (+,+) only or (+,-) only and also can set the backoff seperately?

  • HI, there:

You can check the mmwaveLink APIs at C:\ti\MMWAVE_L_SDK_05_02_00_02\firmware\mmwave_dfp\docs\mmwave_dfp_low_API_documentation.chm.  From the documentation, it does not show any API to manually set the phase for each chirp.

Note that xWRL6432 only support phase shift of 180, not the fine phase shifter.  So manual set the phase is not that useful.

    Best,

    Zigang
