IWR6843: How to modify the offset of meta image 2 in Uniflash?

Part Number: IWR6843
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

I have learned that the relative offset of each meta image in Uniflash is 512KB, but our current app size is greater than 512KB, and we also need to burn another bin file with the same size greater than 512KB at meta image 3. So we want to know how to modify the offset of Uniflash's meta image 2 from 512KB to 128KB? So that we can burn our app through meta image 2.

  • Hello,

With both images >512KB you should still be able to load the first image in slot 1 and the second image in slot 3. Please let me know if this is not possible for you.

    Best Regards,

    Josh

  • First of all, thank you very much for your timely response.

I would like to add a point that I did not previously describe: in addition to two images larger than 512KB, we also have one SBL file, approximately 63KB in size, loaded using Meta image 1. So this is why we did not load the first image greater than 512kB with Meta image 1.

I believe that allowing users to modify the offset of each Meta image as needed can make them more flexible and efficient in using limited 2MB storage space.
