Hi, I'm a beginner in the FMCW area.

From my understanding,

bandwidth ↑ -> range resolution ↑
base frequency ↑ -> max detect range distance ↑
base frequency ↑ -> field of view ↓
antenna array length ↑ -> angle resolution ↑

Your vital signs monitoring demo recommends IWR6843AOP.

Why not AWR1843AOP? Compared with IWR6843AOP, it has many advantages:

1. larger bandwidth (76-81 vs. 60-64) -> better range resolution

2. higher frequency (76 vs 60) -> longer range (can penetrate wall)

I assume they're using the same size of antenna array?

Hi,

We recommend the 6843 because it's a 60 GHz device. Most countries limit the 77GHz band used by the 1843 to automotive applications, so it's a regulatory reason, not a performance reason.

Thanks! Do you know where i can find the regulation for frequency limitation for healthcare applications? Can I assume we can use all bands in US and China?
