Hi Sir

I'm using TMP432 in the product and would like to rework it to use TMP431 to replace TMP432. 

In the HW viewpoint, we can do it. How about the FW. I mean currently my FW is for TMP432. Can it use in the TMP431?

I notice that the register map has a "Device ID" item. Does the FW use it to recognize the IC?

    The firmware needs to be reviewed. Yes, the Device ID register (0xFD) would allow firmware to identify the device and adjust its behavior appropriately. Most registers are the same, but TMP432 has an extra remote channel. A query sent to TMP432's Remote temperatre2 registers would not get a response from TMP431.
