Hello,

I'm having a problem with a IWR1443BOOST board at low temperature.
Normally, Tx start frequency is 77GHz when measurement. However Tx start frecuency often changed 77.18GHz - 77.25GHz at low temperature (about -20 degC).

Would you please help me getting the root of this problem.

Hi,

Please read about calibrating mmWave devices here. The TX output power will definitely vary based on temperature. The frequency may also be suffering from the same problem.

Hi,

After further discussion with our hardware team, the variation in start frequency is indeed expected across temperature. This is mainly due to crystal frequency variation across temperature, Tx start frequency variation would follow the crystal temperature coefficient. This variation is not a problem for the Radar as it would cancelled with Mixer where same clock is used to down convert to IF signal.
