IWRL6432: Inquiry about Presence Detection Demo

Hi Experts,

Our customer is evaluating “Presence Detection Demo” with IWRL6432BOOST, they’re encountering the following issue. this means, the point cloud is not displayed. I attached customer’s cfg file (MyPD.cfg). The terminal log is as follows.

Cfg file which customer uses: MyPD.cfg (I attached it to this email)

Baud-rate: 115200

    Hello, 

    So the demo is flashed to the IWRL6432BOOST EVM and after sending the configuration file there is no response in the visualizer, is that correct?

    It would be beneficial if the customer can run the same in debug mode with CCS to see if there is any error message. Please direct the customer to this guide for the CCS debug instructions. 

    Also, is it only the configuration file that has been customized or has there been modifications made to the demo source code?

    Thank you for your reply.

    First of all, please collect me some points because I have misunderstood. Customer is evaluating  “Presence And Motion Detection” Demo. I tried to this demo by default, and I confirmed this demo is working fine. And then, I re-tried to do this demo with customer’s config file. As the result, visualizer seems to stop as follows. But, it did not freeze. And then, I loaded the default configuration by pushing “Send Selected configuration” button, and I confirmed this demo is working fine again. This means, it seems customer’s cfg file has some issues. Customer does not modify demo source code. Can we have your expert’s advice/comments on this customer’s cfg file(0726.MyPD.cfg), please?

    Hi Miyazaki-san, 

    My apologies for the delay here. At first glance, I see no reason that this configuration file should cause the demo to fail. We will need to investigate further to find the problem here. I will attempt to replicate the issue on my end as well. Please expect a response early next week.

    Hi Josh,

    Yes, this issue was resolved with this config file(MyPD_with_minorState_update.cfg). It looks like the original cfg file did not have the “minorStateCfg” with the thresholds setup for the 20m config.

    If I receive further inquiries, I’ll put them into new e2e thread.
