IWR6843AOPEVM: Overhead People Counting Not working in the Matlab UI

I have flashed IWR6843AOP overhead people counting binary file given as part of RADAR ToolBox 1_00_00_26 and for seeing output I have connected the Industrial Visualizer given as part of the same Radar Tool Box. I have used the config file "pc_6843_3d_aop_overhead_3m_radial.cfg" given along with the Overhead People counting demo. I am able to see the point cloud information and the associated clustering information in the Industrial Visualizer.

But when I use the matlab based GUI given as part of the application page, its displaying error and no frames are received in the UI.

This is the error showing in matlab console.

Lost sync at frame 1(349), Reason: Header Checksum is wrong, 88 bytes in Rx buffer.

Please correct me if I am doing any wrong step.

Hi,

Where did you pull this MATLAB from? I think you'll need to modify the TLV data types as they have changed since this MATLAB visualizer was created.

The matlab codes are part of the overhead people count lab available in "mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_12_1". It was given in zip file named overhead_occupancy_counter_gui.zip. Is there any updated version of the ovehead people counting matlab UI available.

Hi,

The GUI and device code are meant to come from the same toolbox release. So, you could use the MATLAB from the 4.12.1 toolbox and the device binary from the 4.12.1 toolbox, or you can use the python visualizer from the 1.0 Radar toolbox and the binary from 1.0 radar toolbox. If you want to modify the MATLAB to work for the 1.0 Radar toolbox, you'll need to modify the TLV types as they have changed. See the output format here.
