DCA1000EVM: How to obtain timestamps of the radar frames with AWR1843BOOST+ DCA1000EVM?

Hi,

Absolute time stamp is not possible only with the radar sensor.

However, it is possible to use the first frame as a reference, and then compute the timing of the following frames using the frame period.

Thank you for your answer. I could not determine the exact timestamp of the first frame. It requires for me that it is in millisecond level. So, do you have an advice for me to determine the timestamp of first frame?

Hi,

I am not sure why the timestamp of the first frame is needed. You could define is as time =0.

You will not be able to get absolute time stamp. Everything has to be considered in reference to the first frame

I am trying to integrate the radar with another sensor that's why I asked. I know I can accept the first frame as reference frame which was the reason of my question. There are works in the literature which uses TI radar and other sensors or multiple TI radars for sensor integration/fusion (nobody willing to answer how did they that's why i am asking here). I am trying to obtain UTC timestamps. As I understand, DCA1000 can capture real time data but there is no way to understand or know the data's exact time or use the data according to it. In our case, we have wasted our money.
