Hi Team,

I want to evaluate the performance of AWR1843AOPEVM. For this I am considering following 2 parts:

1. DCA1000

2. MMWAVEICBOOST

My query is that, among the 2 boards mentioned above, which one should I proceed with.

I could not find the features difference that each boards provide.

You can refer to this screenshot from the AWR1843AOPEVM user guide for details on what is supported by which parts:

In short if you need raw ADC data capture you need to have DCA1000, if you just need additional interfaces you can look into the MMWAVEICBOOST.

Hi Ajay,

In the statement i.e. "raw ADC Data", I want to understand what is this data and what type of data is it? Also, can the DCA1000 accomplish all the tasks that MMWAVEICBOOST can accomplish.

Hi Dev,

MMWAVEICBOOST is used to bring out additional capabilities of the device, such as CAN, debug capability etc.

No, DCA1000 cannot do all the things that MMWAVEICBOOST can do. If you want both the features, you can buy both of them.

"raw ADC Data", is the raw ADC converted radar data that was received from the RX antenna.
