IWR1642BOOST: Possible to issue a hardware reset over CLI?

Hello,

I have a IWR1642Boost device that I am using to measure the environment on a moving platform. If the platform moves too quickly during measurement, the device tends to crash or hang up. The problem describes itself in a way where the device suddenly stops transmitting chirp information back to the host computer until the user presses the reset button on the board.

I am wondering if it is possible to issue a hardware reset over CLI or if there is a reset pin available on the board to connect to the host computer?

Hi,

There is no CLI command to send a reset to the device. Looking at the datasheet, pin 10 on the J5 connector may perhaps be used for sending a reset signal to the device. There is also a physical reset button on the device, so with some hardware modifications you could also use that.

Cheers, I can look into the connector pins. I thought of using the onboard switch but I would like to have that as an absolute last resort in case something goes wrong with modifying it. Thank you!
