OPT3001: Can this chip be sensed when the usage scenario is to turn on the light or move from a dark place to a bright place?

Hi Tony, Yes the OPT3001 can be used for this application. The OPT3001 measures the intensity of visible light and the spectral response of the sensor tightly matches the photopic response of the human eye and includes significant infared rejection.

Depending on your application, you may want to take a look at the OPT3002. The OPT3002 is an ultra-low power device with a wide spectral bandwidth.
