PGA302EVM-037: Problems with OWI Programming via PGA302 Gui 1.34

Part Number: PGA302EVM-037

I'm trying to program an external pressure sensor wired to the PGA302EVM-037 evaluation board using the PGA302 GUI. U1 was removed from the evaluation board to avoid any conflicts, our external sensor includes the PGA302 chip wired back to the EVM with its own resistive bridge.

I'm running into an issue where the programming is completed but then the microcontroller state is set to 'running' and causes all the changed values in the GUI to reset and the sensor does not function. If I change the state back to 'reset' everything shows up as programmed, including all the information in the EEPROM settings.  I am not receiving an error code; nothing appears to go wrong other than the fact that the information appears to reset.

  • Hi Chris Hadsock,

We will look into this issue and get back to you by mid next week. Thanks for your patience

  • Hi Chris,

Just so that I'm clear, are you saying that only the GUI values are resetting?  Also, when you change the state to reset, can you go back to the running state from that point?  I just need to be clear as to if the issue is with the GUI resetting or if the part is resetting.  I would also like to know if it will run at all.  In other words, is there a combination that will get it to work?

When you initially program the EEPROM, have you tried saving the settings to a file and then reading the file back so that the data are in the GUI memory?

    Thanks,

    Bob B
