Humidity sensing solution in sulfide gas

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HDC3020

Do you have any use case or recommendation on Humidity sensing solution in sulfide gas?

Best regards,

Kento

  • Hi Kento,

Moving this post to the Temperature and Humidity Sensing group-- they should be able to help you.

  • Hi Kento,

Are you trying to sense humidity in an environment where sulfide gas is present? Or are you trying to sense the sulfide gas itself? Assuming you want to measure humidity in an environment where sulfide gas is present, I will refer you to our HDC302x Silicon Users Guide (Rev. C), pages 7-9 specifically. We did not test Sulfide gas, but we did a long-term exposure (21 days of continuous exposure) with Sulfer Dioxide (5ppm). We found that exposure to Sulfer Dioxide induced a negative gain into the HDC3020 RH results, but did not result in a significant offset change.

If you are trying to sense the sulfide gas itself, you may need to consider an electrochemical cell sensor instead of HDC3020.

  • Hi Alex, Than you for your support. I'd like to sense humidity in an environment where sulfide gas is present. Do you have any other experience in sulfide gas or test result than HDC302x Silicon Users Guide?

    Best regards,

    Kento

  • Kento,

No we have not tested our HDC3x devices in an environment where sulfide gas is present, the most similar test we have done is the sulfer dioxide gas exposure that is described in the HDC302x Silicon Users Guide.
