DCA1000EVM: Range FFT Units - Moving from frequency to meters

Hi,

I've recorded several raw ADC frames using the AWR1843 coupled with DCA1000 using the DCA1000's cli tool and the AWR's visualizer app.

While parsing the data seems to be in order, as well as the FFT calculation, I'm having some difficulty in translating the measured frequency to meters such. 

that the measured values match the observed scene.

Can somebody please elaborate on this process?  I went over several equations suggested in the tutorials but none of them produced correct values.

nevertheless, when looking a the values withing the visualizer app they are a good match for the observed scene.
