AWR2243: How to synchronise data in four-cascaded AWR2243?

Hi,

Can AWR2243's CSI data be timestamped? and Can four-cascaded AWR2243 use a uniform timestamp?

If there is a uniform timestamp, I can put the data with the same timestamp together and process it.

If there is no uniform timestamp in four-cascaded AWR2243, how do I process them?

Hello Guo,

The AWR2243 cannot be timestamped as such as there is no core to program the same.
In the cascade system, you will have to use a uniform source of trigger like the hardware trigger across all the board and then trigger it at the same time.

Hello Guo,

There is no such document available for this. You will have to see the documentation and find out which will cause the external frame trigger and then use the same for your purpose.

If for a scenario like trying to merge the data from AWR2243 with the data from the camera, how do you do it without a timestamp?

Hello Gui,

You will have to timestamp it in the processor itself. It is not possible to generate it on the AWR2243.
You can do similarly the same for the camera data and achieve it.

AWR2243 can't generate timestamp, does TI have any radar sensors which can generate timestamps? Which model?

Hello Guo,

You can use device like the AWR1843 and AWR1642 which has the CSI-Tx. You will have to write the custom code to stream the timestamp out by yourself.
