Hi,
I am currently starting to investigate the use of AWR6843AOP in a electric vehicle application for environment and obstacle detection. Is it possible to use multiple of the sensors ~10-14 all operating at the same time. Will they interfere with one another i.e. the chirp from one radar module being received by another?
Is this an issue, and if not is there anything I need to do to set these up so that they do not interfere?
Furthermore, as we plan to evaluate these on a prototype rig, before moving forward, will it be possible to connect multiple AWR6843AOPEVM boards to a compute system for evaluation of multi-radar module obstacle detection? Is there any special configuration or setup that will need to be performed to allow this test setup to function properly?
Any feedback or expertise here would be greatly appreciated. If there are other caveats or issues with multi-sensor mmWave radar setup's please let me know.
Kind regards,
Hello.
Theoretically, it is possible for there to be some interference between radars chirping in close areas. However, this document explains how the devices mitigate interference and operate multiple sensors within a common area.
Sincerely,
Santosh
