Hi team,

Currently we are working on 3D people counting Demo (Wall mount and Ceil Mount) ,for Wall mount testing-Toolbox:radar_toolbox_1_10_00_13,for Ceil Mount testing -mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_11_0

1)what is the difference between wall mount and ceil mount in firmware?

2)what is the difference between wall mount and ceil mount in configuration?

3)Can we use IWR6843ISK board for ceil mount application?

4)How to improve the resolution to differentiate two targets' in ceil mount testing?

5)How to increase the range in wall mount testing?

    Why are you using mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_11_0 for overhead, why not use Overhead_3D_People_Tracking in radar_toolbox_1_10_00_13?

    1. Firmware is unchanged between the demos, but the application software is not exactly the same. I would recommend using a software like BeyondCompare to do a folder comparison between the two demos (I would recommend two demos from the same toolbox version) to study the differences.

    2. The configuration files (.cfg) are quite different between the two demos since because each optimizes for its respective perspective on the scene.

    3. You can, but you will not see great performance. The ISK antenna pattern prioritizes distance at the cost of FOV. This is in direct opposition to the demands of the ceiling mount configuration. The ODS board would be the best for ceiling mount, with the AOP also being feasible.

    4. The resolution of the ground comes down to the angular resolution of your antenna configuration. The angular resolution (in rad) is 2/Number of antennas in that dimension (azimuth and elevation). This is another reason why the ISK is not optimal for overhead configuration: it lacks adequate antenna count in the elevation direction.

    5. Increase the range via the .cfg file. Tune that file using the mmWave Sensing Estimator
