IWR6843AOPEVM: Where is latest firmware version 3.6

Part Number: IWR6843AOPEVM

When I run the mmWave Demo Visualizer, it forces me to select firmware 3.5 with error:

SKD input version = 3.6 not matching 3.5 reported by target.

I downloaded the SDK and flashed the module with:

C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_06_00_00-LTS\packages\ti\demo\xwr68xx\mmw\xwr68xx_mmw_demo.bin

But I still get the same error.

I want to update the module to 3.6 to try to solve some issues.

Where can I find the version 3.6 firmware?

Hi,

According to the message when you load that visualizer:

This version of app is compatible with mmWave SDK versions 3.5, 3.4, 3.3, 3.2.x and 3.1.x.

I would highly recommend using the Industrial Visualizer located in the Radar toolbox here: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=A__AP5GcU3TNQear.Zm3pCcTA__radar_toolbox__1AslXXD__LATEST

I read that page...it refers to:

Navigate to <RADAR_TOOLBOX_INSTALL_DIR>\tools\visualizers\Industrial_Visualizer

I clicked on every link until it circled back around...even Googled "radar toolbox download" which led to a page which led to this one...

I installed several SDK and toolboxes...none seem to be the Radar Toolbox.

Is there a direct link to the download for the package that contains the 'Industrial Visualizer' to which you refer?

I visited this page:

It also refers to <RADAR_TOOLBOX_INSTALL_DIR>\radar_toolbox_<VER>\tools\Visualizer\Industrial_visualizer

BUT...

the only downloads the page leads to is:

TI mmWave SDK 3.5.0.4 Link to Latest mmWave SDK.

I already installed that SDK and it did not install the 'Industrial Visualizer'.

Hi,

You can click on the 3 dots and download the toolbox

For more context, the toolbox contains resources that utilize the SDK. This includes overview of our evaluation modules, example projects, experiments, software documentation, as well as visualizer tools like the one you are looking for.

well...okay...the dots don't appear until you hover over the text, so I would never, ever have found that...

I'll test this download out a bit and then check 'resolved'...
